About Me

Yasmin Centeno

Photography by Carlos Casas

I am a Bristol based photographer who has newly found a passion for climbing. I have photographed a range of things, from London Fashion Week, documentary photography to behind the scenes shoots for a web-series.

I found a camera a way to stay out of photographs, as I was always the one taking them. It was a clutch when I felt out of sorts in social situations. I used to steal the family camera to take photos which would come out weeks after a family holiday and bought my first camera for £30 on eBay from my first pay check as a lifeguard when I was 16. It was not until 2019, just before the pandemic, I decided to take photography as a serious hobby and take on commissions.

Hampstead Heath, 2019. This was the first photo I took with my DSLR in about 7 years.

I am always happy to take on commissions that are inline with topics and causes I believe are important. I occasionally write blogs regarding sport, diversity and mental health on Medium: https://yasmincenteno33.medium.com/ I also spoke on a podcast regarding the ups and downs of life: https://open.spotify.com/episode/0rp6wcmW8ZGBjAXc3XX07d?si=671a58fc996b48d4

During the day I am the Global Product Owner and Salesforce Tech Lead for Mars Wrigley (the people who make Mars bars). Here is my Linkedin: https://www.linkedin.com/in/yasmin-c-56617957/
